The CEDIO Youth Team is a dynamic, grassroots-driven network committed to advancing community resilience and social justice across the coastal region. Comprising 13 active youth groups across 12 unions, along with structured 9-member committees in each of the 108 wards, the team ensures strong local representation and rapid community engagement. They play a vital role in Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience (DRRR) by actively supporting early warning dissemination, community awareness, and emergency rescue operations. Equipped with a dedicated rescue engine boat, the youth team is able to respond quickly during disasters, particularly in hard-to-reach coastal areas. In addition, they promote people’s rights and climate justice through human chains, social media campaigns, and awareness programs. The team also conducts regular advocacy with local administration and various government offices to amplify community voices and influence decision-making. Through continuous capacity building and youth leadership development, the CEDIO Youth Team is empowering young people to become proactive agents of positive change in their communities.
