7.     Briefly describe the organization and its purpose: CEDIO is a non- government, non-profitable, non-sectarian, community development youth focus organization established in 5th February 2011 tempered with the philanthropic efforts of some of the likeminded long experienced social workers envisioning to community development for the underserved, disadvantaged people and ensure organizational sustainability through quality service. Keeping in mind the goals and objectives. CEDIO has been implemented various development activities since its inception to till date with the financial assistance of different individual and personal funds. CEDIO programs are – Health (Environment, Water, Sanitation, Hygiene, and Awareness & Road safety program), Sustainable Environmental Resource Management, Adaptation to Climate Change, Education, Secure Livelihoods, Human Rights & Good Governance, Disaster risk reduction, Agriculture and Gender-Equity. In life time of the organization we have served directly near about 60,000 (Sixty Thousand) peoples.

The organization is working in alliance with 16 organizations from 4 coastal regions of Bangladesh through the Sundarban Coalition. Besides CEDIO has started working in partnership with CNRS from March `24

 

 

CEDIO Vision

Community development for the underserved and disadvantaged people and ensure organizational sustainability through quality services.

To improve the quality of life of the country's needy, poor, unemployed, deprived of knowledge, neglected and backward groups of the country through the coordinated development strategy of one or more activities and to establish a peaceful society.

The aim of this organization is to provide maximum support to the backward groups of the society in which they can identify their problems and achieve self- social improvement through joint efforts with the spirit of mutual cooperation.

To promote the local cultural and economic activities to create employment opportunities for eradication of poverty. Environment management will emphasis with awareness on water pollution, safe sanitation and bio-diversity conservation.

 

CEDIO Mission: CEDIO is a community development non-profitable, non- sectarian organization aiming to bring overall development to the undeserved & disadvantaged people of Bangladesh.

To create awareness among the people and build consensus on development issues, policies and concerns in grass-root, regional and national level.


CEDIO Executive committee: CEDIO has 7 members Executive Council, which is elected in every 2 years by General council body, comprises 21 members.
